Help SPIRASI - Donate your time or money

While SPIRASI receives funding from a number of organisations such as the European Union and the Health Services Executive, it depends on the support of the public to ensure that our work with survivors of torture, asylum seekers and other migrants can continue to improve. There are many ways in which you or your organisation can help SPIRASI and one is raising vital funds that will ensure we can continue to help vulnerable migrants in Ireland.

SPIRASI needs need €2.3 million each year to care for those who have suffered torture and to help refuge seekers integrate into Irish society. Some of our funding is provided by the government but this remains inadequate for us to fully meet the needs of our beneficiaries. To make up the shortfall we depend upon the generosity of members of the public. Your donation, no matter how small, will help us greatly in the work that we do.

Donate Online

If you have a credit card or a Paypal account, you can make an online donation straight away. It's quick, easy and completely secure:

SPIRASI does not collect any credit card details submitted by donors. The donate page is securely hosted by Paypal and all payments are securely processed by Paypal on their web-site so you can donate with peace of mind and confidence that your personal financial information is safe.

Make a regular donation

The best way to help SPIRASI´s work is to set up a standing order. Standing orders are an easy and effective way to donate on a regular basis. They also provide SPIRASI with a regular income allowing us to make better plans for the future. The details of our account are:

Become a Volunteer

If you have more time than money, you could also donate your time. Throughout the year, we organise fund-raising events which require time and human resources. Most of our full-time staff are already busy providing the best possible service to our clients and find it difficult to make time to work on fund-raising events. We very much appreciate all offers of help with our fund-raising events and we would like to build up a team of volunteers who would be available to help out with organising fund-raising events.

Past fund-raising events have included table quizzes, street collections, music and dance performances, a comedy night, running in the Women's Mini-marathon, sailing a tall ship around Ireland in two weeks, and having a team participate in the Dublin City Marathon. However none of these events would have been possible without the support of volunteers who gave up their time to help with these events. If you have any ideas, experience or contacts or would like to get involved in our fund-raising ventures in any capacity, from distributing leaflets, to collecting money, to organising a gig or concerts with friends, please get in touch.
